Her doctoral research seeks to deepen in how the relationship between the State and the subjects has been mediated by large-scale political violence, particularly in the recent history of El Salvador. To this end, she will analyze how subjects have signified and resisted the devices of social control in the periods of dictatorship (1930-1944), armed conflict (1980-1992) and regime of exception (2022 to the present). In this way, it will contribute to the recognition of the processes of political subjectivation and the memorial legacies of the last two generations.
