Abel Guerra
Psychologist from the University of Valparaíso and Master of Advanced Studies in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the Complutense University of Madrid, he is currently a PhD student in Psychology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a fellow of the Chilean National Research and Development Agency (ANID).
His doctoral research, titled “Political Socialization and Collective Action: Narratives of Activists and Non-Activists of the Chilean Social Uprising,” aims to understand how individuals with and without a history of political activism who participated in the 2019 Chilean social uprising recall their experiences of political socialization. The study seeks to contribute to the understanding of the role of autobiographical memory in the dynamics of collective action, as well as to the role of political socialization processes in the participation of political activists and non-activists in the social uprising.
