Oriana Bernasconi

Ph.D. in Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Associate Professor of Sociology at Alberto Hurtado University, Department of Sociology. Co-director of the Interdisciplinary Research Program on Memory and Human Rights at Alberto Hurtado University, Director of the research project “Political Technologies of Memory: Contemporary uses and appropriation of past human rights violations registry devices in Chile” (ANID).

Her main research interests are political violence and archives, sociology of the subject, sociology of morality, and post-structural social theory.
